Sonix can easily help you auto-caption your English videos

Just follow these six easy steps to quickly create captions from your English video:

• Step 1

  Log in to your Sonix account

  Create a free Sonix trial account—includes 30 minutes of free auto-captioning for English videos.

• Step 2

  Upload your English video

  In Sonix, click “Upload” and choose the English video file from your computer that you want auto-captioned.

• Step 3

  Click transcribe

  Please make sure that you select English as the language spoken before clicking the “Transcribe” button.

• Step 4

  Split your auto-captions

  You’ll receive a English transcript in a few minutes based on the length of your video. From the Subtitles menu, select “Split subtitles” Sonix will split the subtitles by line or by character count automatically for you.

• Step 5

  Polish English captions

  Names and other proper nouns might be misspelt by our algorithms, please spend a few minutes making these minor corrections and adjusting the timestamps.

• Step 6

  Export English captions

  Click export and choose the format that you'd like your subtitles either English Subrip subtitle file (.srt) or English WebVTT file (.vtt). Or, from the Subtitle menu, you can choose the ability to burn-in the English captions into your video.
